THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN
Monday 11 September 2006
What a fantastic weekend!
Not only did I have a date with the delightful Melanie (and ate loads of bad food which I promptly threw up due to my infected throat thus meaning hopefully no weight gain! Hee hee hee) on Friday but this weekend (when she cruelly abandoned me) I was an honourary guy for Colin took me uner his wing.
I have always preferred the company of guys to girls. I've no idea why as I'm as far from a tomboy as you can get. I have the best of both worlds now as I have a set of girlfriends something new to me as I haven't been close to girls since I left school.
I spent Saturday mostly balled up on the couch watching awful television as I'm still poorly but on Saturday night a load of friends came over and we had a dinner and poetry evening. Which involved ordering a massive Chinese takeaway and after we had stuffed ourselves and had a few more shots sat in the conservatory and read our chosen poetry pieces. I then gave shoulder massages (I've no idea how this came about) and was so good with Mike that he fell asleep between my legs. I can't say I've ever had a guy fall asleep between my legs before but in the circumstances I believe it to be a compliment!!!
At around 3.30am everyone decided it was bedtime. I however was wide awake and didn't feel like sleeping at all so my new best friend James Names decided to watch The Wedding Singer (my favouritest film currently), needless to say we both conked out during the film. I suddenly woke up to be greeted with the credits. It is here I go on an ever so slight tangent. For the last 3 months I have felt very alone at bedtime. Resulting in me being unable to sleep (I'm not the best when it comes to sleeping but this feeling has made it worse). I had the best nights sleep on Saturday that I've had in ages and it was because I had someone in my bed with me. Now now now it was nothing like that at all and I believe that's why I slept so well. It was just so nice to be next to someone and not feel like I had to do anything. He was a real gentleman.
Sunday was a stunning day. The weather was beautiful and so The boys and I decided we needed to make the most of it. This of course meant going to Ocean village (marina with pubs) and supping a cool drink in the sunshine whilst eyeing up yachties. Really relaxing day yesterday and I've caught the sun. It is days like yesterday that make me want to stay here in Southampton as I've made some lovely friends but I'll be down a lot (I have Mel to look after).
There are loads of new things on the horizon! Not only in 2 weeks and 4 days will I be embarking on a new life in a new town with a new job but I'll aslo be meeting new people and (this is the biggie!) after 5 years of having the same mobile number - I have a new one!!! I have to learn a whole new number!
Those who have my number - don't worry if you haven't got my new one it's not that I don't like you and think you smell of wee - I just haven't sent round the 'Hi guys here's my new number' text just yet.
I'm getting more and more excited!

Well yes and no. It's a bit of a long story. I could have my old number but it's a bit of a hassle and I would like to change my number to fit in with the whole new start.
Posted by: Celeste at September 11, 2006 04:26 AMFair enough. Seems like a nice idea to do that!
Posted by: Rhys at September 11, 2006 04:28 AMReally a comment for your most recent post... I am really pleased for you.
The number means a lot especially in reference to the chat we had a few weeks ago... Well done!

Woo! Congrats with everything, sounds like an awesome weekend - even if people did fall asleep between your legs (a girl once fell asleep when my mate was between her legs. However, the only massage he was giving was with his tongue ;P).
Funny you should mention not sleeping well when alone. I'm the opposite, however whenever I'm with someone, I usually share single beds. Considering I'm 6'2" and (at the time of Alyson) a hefty 16 stone, a single bed is barely enough anyway!
I think I may change my number soon too, though not out of choice, It's because I've got a new SIM with free texts and minutes, and fancy using it. Plus the sim's got my name on it. Is it out of choice the change of number?
