GIRL ABOUT TOWN

Friday 16 February 2007

I had an absolute blast of a night last night.

It began with scrummy tapas at Salt Yard with one of my gal pals. Much wine was consumed and in depth chats about life, guys and work took place.

We then trotted off to a great wine bar which used to be a wine cellar - low ceilings and funky round rooms with mood lighting ooh la la.

There we bumped into a group of minor celebs from a medical drama programme and this, this is were it got a touch messy. You see they were quite generous and you can't possibly say no to free champagne. It's illegal.

My stomach actually hurts from all the laughing I did last night. One of the most hilarious points was when a girl who was completely off her face from popping pills came up to us and kept girating all over the place and pulling her top over her face and saying 'Michael Jackson, Shamo, changing face innit' in her Jamaican accent. She then proceeded to take one of the bottles of champagne and swig out of it which annoyed a few people - needless to say we didn't drink anything out of that bottle again. She started to get a bit miffed with us as we tried ignoring her so called us all 'White animals' and kissed her teeth. The fact that the group we were in had more people of colour in it than us 'White animals' was quite funny.

She finally got removed by two big bouncers.

At around 10pm someone had the great idea of playing truth or dare. It always seems like such a good game after a bottle of wine, 3 glasses of champagne and 4 shots. One of my dares was to swap clothes with the person next to me. Which was quite easy as I was wearing a wrap around dress so no skin off my nose. So for the remainder of the evening I sat in a Prada suit with a Gucci shirt and the guy next to me sat in my wrap dress. Sexy.

I'm feeling a little squiffy this morning - nothing a hot chocolate won't sort out and for lunch I'm going to the Square Pie Company so I'll be right as rain.

Sounds like fun, just by the sound of it I'm looking forward to my birthday on the tahn!

I love some of the pasty shops down in London, I always make it my lunch in Euston or wherever :)

Guy - another dare I had was to chat up a bloke and make him believe I was French. Ah Boyd - strewth!

Rhys - Your birthday will be great - I may even convince you to stay out past 11pm! I have to say though I'm insulted that you think I eat pasties!!! They are pies! Big difference. ;-)
