OH DEAR BLOG WORLD
Monday 22 May 2006
I need your help.
My Aunt gave me a ring of hers a couple of years back for my 18th.
I know what some of the jewellery marks mean but I'm completely stumped by the marking ZJ on it. Could this be relating to the stones?
So if anyone out there knows what the hell ZJ on a gold ring means PLEASE PLEASE let me know and I'll make you a special boy or girl certificate!

Nugget you are fabulous. Makers mark it is.

If the letters are enclosed in shields at the beginning of the hallmark then it's the makers mark.
If it's an older ring (pre 1999), then it may be a date letter or a historical hallmark. Depends on where in the hallmark they sit and the Assay office (I believe. Could be wrong!)..
